Step away from fee earning, move into a strategic, risk-focused role. Influence firm-wide performance, quality and compliance in a leading PI practice. Use your PI expertise in a more analytical, commercially focused position. This Manchester-based role offers a genuine pivot for an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner who enjoys the technical and analytical side of the work, but wants to move away from running files.

You’ll be joining a busy, high-performing PI practice where compliance, quality and performance are taken seriously, and where your insight will directly shape how the firm operates. In your first few months, you’ll get to grips with internal processes, reporting frameworks and compliance systems, while starting to review files and identify trends across the business. Your background in handling cases will be key here; you’ll understand what “good” looks like and where risks tend to sit.

As you settle in, the role becomes more strategic. You’ll analyse performance data, carry out file audits, and work closely with fee earners and senior stakeholders to improve efficiency, reduce risk and maintain regulatory standards. You’ll also play a key role in monitoring higher-risk or complex matters, ensuring they stay on track from both a compliance and commercial perspective.

The culture is fast-paced and performance-driven, but grounded in doing things properly. This is a firm that’s grown significantly by focusing on quality and client outcomes, and this role sits right at the centre of that. If you’re looking to use your PI experience in a different way, with more influence, less day-to-day pressure, and a broader view of the business, this is a natural next step.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner with strong claimant experience
  • Proven experience running your own caseload to a high standard
  • Strong understanding of SRA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with file reviews, investigations or compliance processes
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret performance data
  • Confident using Excel for data analysis
  • Commercially aware with good judgement
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Experience with Proclaim or similar case management systems (Desired)
  • Background in auditing or Lexcel standards (Desired)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analysing performance data and trends across the PI department
  • Conducting file audits and compliance reviews
  • Monitoring high-risk and complex cases to ensure compliance
  • Supporting fee earners and teams with risk management and best practice
  • Identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and profitability
  • Ensuring adherence to SRA standards, data protection and internal policies
  • Producing reports and insights for senior stakeholders
  • Acting as a key link between compliance, operations and fee earning teams

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience
  • Opportunity to move into a non-fee earning, strategic role
  • Work within one of the UK’s largest and highest-rated PI claimant firms
  • Strong job security within a high-growth business
  • High-impact role with real influence across the firm
  • Supportive environment with opportunities to develop compliance expertise
