Clear route towards senior leadership or Partnership within a growing private client team. Hybrid working, strong benefits and a genuinely people-first culture.
High-quality wills, probate and estate planning work with long-term client relationships. Private client lawyers rarely move purely for salary anymore. More often, it’s about finding the right environment — somewhere with quality work, sensible support, good people around you and a clear future ahead. This role, based in Macclesfield, offers exactly that.
The team is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Partner-level lawyer who wants to take ownership of a varied caseload while playing a meaningful role in the department’s long-term development. There’s already a strong flow of work and an established client base, so you’ll be stepping into a busy practice rather than needing to build from scratch.
From day one, you’ll manage a broad mix of wills, probate, estate administration, LPAs, trusts and Court of Protection matters, while working closely with experienced senior colleagues. Over time, there’s genuine scope to deepen client relationships, help shape the future of the team and progress further into senior leadership if that’s something you’re interested in.
The culture itself is collaborative, professional and refreshingly down-to-earth. There’s a strong emphasis on client care, long-term relationships and supporting people properly — both internally and externally. It’s the kind of environment where lawyers are trusted to get on with their work while still feeling part of a close-knit team.
For someone who enjoys private client work but wants more autonomy, better long-term progression and a healthier working environment than many larger firms can offer, this is a particularly strong option.
