Remote-first role with flexibility to work from Macclesfield if preferred.
Run your own clinical & dental negligence caseload, not just assisting. Growing team with clear progression and room to step up quickly.
If you’ve reached the point where you want more ownership over your clinical negligence work, this role gives you that next step. You’ll be joining a growing team with a steady flow of work, taking on your own caseload of clinical and dental negligence matters from the outset. This isn’t a support role; you’ll be trusted to run claims properly, from initial instruction through to trial where required.
In the early months, the focus is on settling in and taking control of your files. Over time, you’ll build momentum, strengthen your technical ability and develop confidence across a broader range of claims, from misdiagnosis and surgical negligence to dental work and medication errors. The environment is straightforward and supportive. There’s flexibility around how and where you work, and the expectation is that you manage your caseload professionally without unnecessary oversight. As the team continues to grow, there’s genuine scope to progress and take on more responsibility.
Who we’re looking for:
- Solicitor or Fee Earner with 2+ years’ clinical negligence experience
- Proven ability to run claims from inception through to trial
- Experience across medical negligence, surgical errors, misdiagnosis and dental negligence
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Confident using case management systems (Proclaim experience beneficial)
- Able to work independently and manage a full caseload (Desired)
- Organised, detail-focused and commercially aware
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of clinical and dental negligence claims
- Handling matters from instruction through to resolution or trial
- Advising clients clearly and empathetically throughout the process
- Investigating claims, reviewing medical evidence and building case strategy
- Liaising with experts, counsel and third parties
- Maintaining accurate file management and compliance standards
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
- Remote working available with flexibility to attend the Macclesfield office
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Clear progression opportunities as the team continues to grow
- Supportive, non-corporate working environment
