Build your name in Liverpool, with full backing from an established Private Client team.
Hybrid working with real autonomy (no micromanagement, plan your own time).
High-quality work + clear progression.
This Liverpool-based role is ideal for an experienced Private Client Solicitor who wants to take a more visible position in the local market, without the pressure of building everything from scratch. You’ll be joining a well-established Private Client team, with a strong presence elsewhere, now looking to grow its footprint across Merseyside.
From day one, you’ll manage a varied caseload of private client work, including estate planning, probate, trusts and tax matters. There’s already work being generated locally, supported by cross-referrals and a wider team of experienced lawyers, so you can focus on delivering quality advice while gradually building your own profile in the region.
You’ll also play an important role in supporting a junior solicitor in the Liverpool office, acting as a more senior presence locally while staying closely connected to the wider team. You’ll have full autonomy over how you structure your time, with no micromanagement, but with the reassurance of support from senior colleagues when needed.
Longer term, this role offers genuine scope to grow. Whether you want to deepen your technical expertise, build a reputation in the local market, or progress towards Partner, there’s a clear path, and the flexibility to shape your role around your ambitions. The culture is collaborative, modern and people-focused. You’ll be trusted to get on with your work, supported to develop, and given the space to build something meaningful in Liverpool.
Who we’re looking for:
- Qualified Solicitor or Partner with 5-10 PQE in Private Client
- Strong experience across wills, probate, estate administration and trusts
- Confident managing your own caseload independently
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Collaborative, but comfortable working autonomously
- Ambition to grow your role and contribute to team development
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues (Desired)
- Interest in building a presence or network in Liverpool/Merseyside (Desired)
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a broad private client caseload including estate planning, probate and trusts
- Advising clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and care planning
- Drafting wills, LPAs and trust documentation
- Supporting and mentoring a junior solicitor in the Liverpool office
- Building relationships with clients and local contacts
- Contributing to the growth of the firm’s presence in Liverpool
- Collaborating with the wider Private Client team across offices
Salary & Benefits:
- Hybrid working, 3 days office / 2 from home
- Part‑time (4 days) considered
- 27 days holiday + birthday off
- Pension scheme
- Early finish Fridays
- Training and progression support, including professional qualifications
- Strong internal referral network and cross‑office support
