This is one of those roles where the shape of the job depends on you. Whether your strength is technical excellence in tax and trusts, mentoring others, or building client relationships, the firm is open to tailoring the role around what you bring, and where you want to go next.
From day one, you’ll be working on complex, high-value private client matters, with a particular focus on tax and trusts. The work is there, the client base is established, and the expectation is that you can operate at a senior level, but without the pressure to churn through files.
You will be working from the Birmingham office 2 days a week, you will be based in Birmingham office, within a commutable distance from Leicester. Over time, the role becomes more strategic. You’ll naturally take on more responsibility within the team, contribute to its direction, and build your own profile within the firm. Partnership is a genuine outcome here, most of the current Partners have progressed internally, and there’s a clear, uncapped route to get there.

What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a high-quality private client caseload, focused on tax and trusts
- Advising HNW and UHNW clients on complex estate and succession planning
- Building long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
- Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate
- Contributing to the growth and strategic direction of the team
- Working collaboratively across a specialist Private Client department
