This is a brilliant opportunity for a Private Client solicitor to join one of the most respected and well-established legal practices in South Cumbria. You’ll be joining a supportive, welcoming private client team that prides itself on exceptional client care, strong community ties and long-standing relationships with individuals, families and rural businesses across Cumbria and beyond. Who we’re looking for:
- Private Client Solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE
- Experience advising on Wills, Probate and estate administration
- Exposure to trusts, powers of attorney and tax planning
- STEP qualification or working towards it (Desired)
- Friendly, approachable and client-focused
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients, families, carers and third parties
- Someone motivated by doing meaningful legal work and making a positive difference
- Able to commute/re-locate to Cumbria and work from one of the local offices
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a varied private client caseload, including:
- Probate and estate administration
- Will drafting and estate planning
- Powers of attorney
- Lifetime, will and elderly client trusts
- Trust administration and taxation issues
Salary & Benefits:
- Hybrid working available — potentially as little as two days per week in the office for the right person
