If you’ve already gained experience as a Family Paralegal and want to take the next step in your career, this role offers the chance to develop your expertise within a supportive, collaborative team. Working one-to-one with an experienced Family Solicitor, you’ll play a key role in supporting a varied caseload covering divorce, financial remedies, children matters and prenuptial agreements. From your first day, you’ll be trusted to make a real contribution while receiving the support you need to continue developing your technical skills. This is a firm where people stay and progress. Who we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience working within a Family Law department (Essential)
  • Legal Assistant or Paralegal background, ideally within family law or a similar legal environment (Essential)
  • Experience using court systems and online portals
  • Relevant legal qualification
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Strong audio typing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Able to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
  • Empathetic, proactive and calm under pressure
  • A collaborative team player committed to delivering outstanding client care

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting an experienced solicitor across a varied family law caseload, including: Divorce, Financial matters, Children cases, Prenuptial agreements
  • Managing initial client enquiries and onboarding new clients
  • Drafting legal documents, court forms and correspondence
  • Conducting legal research and analysis
  • Liaising with clients, courts and third parties
  • Preparing documents through audio typing
  • Managing diaries, appointments and file administration
  • Assisting with billing and financial administration
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Participating in training and supporting the wider Family team
