This is a rare senior opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to step into a succession-planned role in South Manchester. You’ll be joining a well-established, friendly firm with strong staff retention and a steady flow of private client work. The role offers autonomy, leadership, and the chance to shape the future of the Private Client department, without the pressure of having to generate your own work.
Who we’re looking for:
- Private Client Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE
- Strong experience across Wills, LPAs and Probate, including some HNW matters
- Confident running a caseload independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable supporting and mentoring junior solicitors
- Someone ready for greater autonomy, influence and progression
- Ambitious but collaborative, a good cultural fit for a close-knit team
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking ownership of a busy, well-established private client caseload
- Handling Wills, LPAs and Probate work (no Court of Protection)
- Working with the support of a dedicated paralegal and secretary
- Providing guidance and day-to-day support to a junior solicitor in the team
- Playing a key role in the succession and future development of the Private Client department
- Helping shape the department’s long-term direction, with scope to grow the team further
Salary & Benefits:
