This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Court of Protection team in either Burnley or Preston. You’ll be part of a close‑knit, well‑structured department led by an experienced Head of Private Client and Court of Protection, and supported by a Director who sits on the national Panel.
You’ll enjoy a friendly, relaxed environment where you’re trusted to get on with your work without micromanagement. With plenty of steady incoming work, including property & financial affairs matters from local authorities, internal referrals and Panel‑derived cases, you’ll have stability from day one.
Weekly and monthly team meetings ensure you feel connected and supported, and as the team continues to expand, this is a brilliant time to join a department with genuine long‑term progression potential.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting fee earners within private client or CoP (desired)
- Able to assist solicitors and work collaboratively with other paralegals
- Strong organisational skills and willingness to learn
- A collaborative, growing team environment
- Strong internal referral sources and stable workflow
- No pressure for BD
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage or support a varied Court of Protection caseload
- Work predominantly on property & financial affairs matters, with future opportunities in health & welfare
- Collaborate closely with an experienced Head of Department and a Panel‑appointed Director
- Attend weekly team meetings and monthly reviews
- Deliver supportive, high‑quality client care
- Contribute to a positive, relaxed team atmosphere
