Join a Tier 1 Legal 500 Contentious Probate team and handle high-value, complex disputes with autonomy and support. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Contentious Probate Senior Associate Solicitor to step into a key role within a highly regarded Tier 1 Legal 500 team in Sheffield.
The practice has a strong reputation in the market, with nationally recognised lawyers and an excellent flow of work. There is flexibility in how this role is shaped: you could slot into the established Sheffield team or, for the right candidate with a following, there’s scope to set up and grow a new hub in Leeds with the firm’s full backing.
Who we’re looking for:
- Contentious Probate Solicitor, ideally 5+ PQE
- Senior Associate or Salaried Partner level, with leadership potential
- Solid experience across contentious probate and trust disputes
- Established client following and contacts would be highly advantageous
- STEP qualification or working towards
- Ambitious, commercially minded, and collaborative
What you’ll be doing:
- Running and growing a caseload of contentious probate matters, including high-value and complex disputes
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team
- Working alongside a highly respected Equity Partner and other senior lawyers
- Building strong relationships with referrers and clients, with scope to bring your own following
- Helping shape the long-term strategy and growth of the contentious probate offering
- Option to establish and grow a Leeds office presence if desired
Salary & Benefits:
- Bonus: firmwide bonus scheme (up to £4–5k annually)
- Holiday: 30 days + bank holidays + 2 extra days over Christmas
