We’re working with a fast-growing regional firm to recruit a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their expanding team in Manchester.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a 5+ PQE lawyer to join a forward-thinking firm where there’s a strong pipeline of high-quality work, genuine scope for career progression, and the chance to take ownership of a varied caseload.
You’ll be supported by a collaborative and go-getting team, including a long-serving partner who trained at the firm and has helped shape its inclusive, friendly, and entrepreneurial culture. The department is in growth mode, and this role is a key part of its strategic development, with scope to supervise junior team members and become a senior leader in time.
Who we’re looking for
- 5+ PQE solicitor with solid civil litigation experience
- Strong track record in contract and negligence disputes
- Able to manage 60+ case files independently with strategic decision-making
- Entrepreneurial and proactive
- Comfortable with business development, or willing to get involved
- Keen to support others and help shape the direction of a growing team
- Move from personal injury work to civil litigation work
What you’ll be doing
- Handle your own flexible caseload
- Advising on case viability, providing quotes, and overseeing files end to end
- Getting involved in internal projects (yes, even the office padel tournament!)
- Working closely with the Partner and wider team on developing the litigation offering
- Optional opportunity to supervise more junior staff as the team grows
Salary & Benefits
- £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience
- 10% bonus on any billing above target
