This is a brilliant opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor (or someone with up to 1 year PQE) to join an expanding department that’s going from strength to strength. Have access to new cases and be fully supported and trained by an experienced Head of Department who has built the team from the ground up. You’ll need to be proactive, empathetic and curious, with a real appetite to learn and develop under expert guidance.
Who we’re looking for:
- NQ–1 PQE solicitor or legal executive
- A genuine interest in Court of Protection work and supporting vulnerable clients
- Ideally has experience managing or assisting on Property & Affairs Deputyships
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing Property and Affairs Deputyships
- Assisting vulnerable and brain‑injured clients and their families
- Supporting with Trust administration, Statutory Wills, Personal Injury Trusts, and other Court of Protection applications
- Liaising with clients in their homes, hospitals, and care settings
- Forecasting spending, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting more junior team members as your experience grows
- Getting involved in internal projects and continuous improvement initiatives
You’ll be set up to succeed with full support, training, and a manageable caseload, allowing you to build confidence and turn cases around efficiently.
