• £40,000–£45,000
• Broad litigation caseload with just 4.5 chargeable hours per day

Are you a Litigation Solicitor looking for broader work, greater autonomy and progression without excessive billing expectations?

This established Greater Manchester firm is looking for a 1–3 PQE Litigation Solicitor to join its collaborative dispute resolution team.

You’ll handle a genuinely varied caseload covering areas such as contractual disputes, professional negligence, property litigation, contentious probate, landlord and tenant, debt recovery and insolvency. You don’t need experience across every area, but you will need enough litigation experience to take meaningful responsibility for your own matters without requiring extensive supervision.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Litigation, gaining plenty of exposure and support while developing greater independence as your experience grows. Just as importantly, the firm takes work-life balance seriously. The target is a reasonable 4.5 chargeable hours per day, and the culture is firmly against routinely working beyond 6pm.

Who we’re looking for

• Litigation Solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE (E)
• Meaningful prior litigation experience (E)
• Ability to manage your own caseload (E)
• Broad understanding of dispute resolution (E)
• Strong client communication skills (E)
• Ability to work autonomously within a small team (E)
• Collaborative and dependable approach (E)
• Commercial judgement and confidence taking responsibility (D)
• Broad civil, commercial or property litigation experience (D)

This won’t suit someone whose only litigation exposure is a short training seat. The firm is looking for someone who can become independently productive relatively quickly.
