Are you an experienced Litigation Solicitor looking for greater responsibility, broader work and a genuine opportunity to step into a leadership role?
This established Greater Manchester firm is looking for a 4-7 PQE Litigation Associate to join its small, collaborative dispute resolution team.
You’ll work directly alongside the Head of Litigation, taking ownership of a varied caseload spanning contractual disputes, professional negligence, property litigation, contentious probate, landlord and tenant, debt recovery and insolvency.
This is much more than another fee-earning position. You’ll provide additional seniority within the team, support a junior colleague and help create capacity for the Head of Litigation to focus on business development. Longer term, there’s scope to become her second-in-command and take on wider leadership responsibilities.
The firm also takes work-life balance seriously. Targets are set at just 4.5 chargeable hours per day, and the culture is not to routinely work beyond 6pm.
Who we’re looking for
- Litigation Solicitor with around 4-7 years' PQE (E)
- Strong litigation and case management experience (E)
- Ability to independently manage your own caseload (E)
- Broad dispute resolution experience (E)
- Strong client communication skills (E)
- Ability to work autonomously within a small team (E)
- Commercial judgement and confidence taking responsibility (E)
- Ability to support junior colleagues (D)
- Civil, commercial or property litigation experience (D)
The role will particularly suit someone with broad, hands-on litigation experience who wants more influence rather than becoming increasingly specialised.
