Purpose of the Role
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Sales will own the commercial growth strategy for reallymoving and be accountable for delivering revenue growth through partner acquisition, retention and the development of our commercial proposition, and report to the Chief Growth Officer. You will combine strategic leadership with a deep understanding of commercial performance, using data and insight to drive growth, develop a high-performing team and shape business direction. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Technology and Finance, you will help evolve our products, partnerships and commercial capabilities to support future growth. The Head of Sales role is offered on a hybrid basis requiring a minimum of 2 days a week attendance at our office in central St Albans, a short walk from St Albans City station.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Growth and Partner Success
- Create and deliver the commercial sales strategy to drive partner acquisition, retention and growth, exceeding revenue and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute growth plans across existing and emerging partner sectors, using data, market insight and commercial intelligence to identify opportunities, optimise performance and expand revenue streams.
- Lead the acquisition of new partners from prospecting through to contract agreements, onboarding, ongoing commercial development.
- Strengthen existing partner relationships through proactive account management, value-led initiatives and long-term growth strategies that increase partner lifetime value.
- Drive a structured approach to prospecting, pipeline generation and market expansion, ensuring consistent delivery against growth objectives.
- Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing sales and account management team to exceed ambitious growth targets.
- Recruit, coach and retain talented individuals, creating a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs, proactively managing performance and developing future leaders.
- Strategic and Cross-functional Collaboration
- Play an active role on the Senior Leadership Team, contributing commercial insight, constructive challenge and recommendations to support company strategy, decision-making and long-term growth.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Technology and Finance teams to improve partner value, retention, revenue growth and overall business performance.
- Use partner insight, market intelligence and commercial data to influence product development, business priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of AI, sales automation and modern sales technologies to improve prospecting, account management, decision-making and productivity.
- Represent reallymoving at industry events, networking opportunities and partner meetings, acting as a credible ambassador for the business.
