Our platform provides unique and actionable data solutions to top brands and partners worldwide, empowering them to make informed, strategic decisions. We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Operations function. This role will focus on supporting the development and monitoring of anomaly detection frameworks, investigating data quality issues, and providing exploratory insights that help contextualise anomalies and improve trust in our data products.
As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in investigating anomalies, identifying trends, and supporting the productionisation of monitoring solutions. You will collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to ensure anomalies are understood in context and surfaced in a way that drives action. This role requires strong analytical skills, curiosity, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Our offices are in Trafford Park, Manchester and the role consists of hybrid working, where we ask for our team to be in the office for collaboration and team building 2 days per week. The rest of the week is up to you; deep focus at home, or more of the same!
Key Responsibilities- Investigate anomalies and data quality issues detected through automated monitoring systems.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and areas for further investigation.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to contextualise anomalies and validate model outputs.
- Work with Analytics Engineers to ensure datasets used in monitoring are structured, accurate, and up to date.
- Develop clear and concise reporting to communicate anomaly investigations and findings to stakeholders.
- Support the design and testing of monitoring metrics, KPIs, and thresholds.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of anomaly detection and monitoring frameworks.
- Leverage data storytelling to make technical insights actionable for business stakeholders.
- Deliver ad-hoc analytics and insights to support both client requests and internal business stakeholders, ensuring outputs are accurate, clear, and actionable.
- Champion best practice in analytics, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate repeatable tasks, and improve the efficiency of analysis across the team.
- Apply automation and AI-assisted tools where appropriate to improve delivery efficiency and the quality of analytical outputs.
- Adhering to Company Policies and Procedures with respect to Security, Quality and Health & Safety.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience analysing large datasets.
- Experience with Python for data analysis is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with BI tools (ideally QuickSight) is desirable for exploratory analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to dig into data issues and uncover insights.
- Experience working with monitoring or anomaly detection systems is a plus.
