We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer Intern to join our Data Products team for a paid three-month internship. This is an excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, or anyone looking to gain practical experience in software testing, QA, and data analysis within a commercial technology environment.

You'll systematically explore mobile and desktop applications, using our in-house tooling to identify, capture, and validate key data points. Working alongside experienced members of the Data Products team, you'll gain hands-on experience with application testing, AI-assisted tools, data validation, and testing methodologies while contributing to real projects used by leading global brands.

The role sits at the intersection of QA and data. You'll help define what information should be captured from app sessions and ensure it is extracted accurately and reliably. Throughout the internship, you'll receive support and mentoring while developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills that will provide a strong foundation for a future career in technology, data, or quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systematically exercise applications across Android, iOS, and desktop platforms, following defined scenarios and discovering new paths.
  • Analyse application behaviour to identify where meaningful data is situated.
  • Author and maintain structured data definitions using our AI-assisted internal tooling - specifying what to capture and how to validate it.
  • Verify output accuracy by comparing captured data against expected results across a range of app states and scenarios.
  • Maintain and update definitions as applications change, identifying and resolving breakages.
  • Build and manage a library of test scenarios to support ongoing development and regression testing.
  • Document coverage and findings clearly for the wider team.
  • Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures with respect to Security, Quality and Health & Safety.

About You: You're naturally curious and methodical - the kind of person who enjoys pulling an application apart to understand how it works. You have a background in software testing or QA, and you're able to exercise unfamiliar apps across mobile and desktop platforms with a systematic eye.

An interest in software testing, technology, data analysis, or quality assurance. Previous experience through education, personal projects, internships, or employment is beneficial but not required.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in software testing, QA, or a similar analytical role.
  • Comfortable navigating mobile and desktop applications in a methodical, exploratory way.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats (e.g. JSON, XML) - you don't need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable reading and editing structured definitions.
  • Strong attention to detail and pattern recognition.
  • Experience with Android and/or iOS devices.
  • Keen interest or willingness to work with AI and AI-assisted tools.
  • Bonus: experience with app inspection tools, accessibility services, or data extraction workflows.
