We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer to join our Data Products team on a 6 month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who is looking to build hands on experience in software testing, QA, and data analysis within a commercial technology environment. You'll work alongside experienced members of the team, systematically exploring mobile and desktop applications using our in-house tooling to identify, capture, and validate key data points. The role offers exposure to a range of technologies, AI-assisted tools, and testing methodologies, while contributing to real projects that support leading global brands. This position is ideal for someone who is curious, analytical, and keen to develop their technical skills in a fast-paced data and technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systematically exercise applications across Android, iOS, and desktop platforms, following defined scenarios and discovering new paths
- Analyse application behaviour to identify where meaningful data is situated
- Author and maintain structured data definitions using our AI-assisted internal tooling - specifying what to capture and how to validate it
- Verify output accuracy by comparing captured data against expected results across a range of app states and scenarios
- Maintain and update definitions as applications change, identifying and resolving breakages
- Build and manage a library of test scenarios to support ongoing development and regression testing
- Document coverage and findings clearly for the wider team
- Adhering to Company Policies and Procedures with respect to Security, Quality and Health
