The Role
Want a role where you can shape someone’s career from day one? Realise is looking for experienced transport professionals to support apprentices as they begin their journey – managing enrolments, delivering inductions, and providing on-bus mentoring to build confidence and safe driving practices. You don’t need teaching qualifications to apply; we’ll support you in gaining them. This hands-on role offers real purpose, giving you the chance to guide learners at a critical stage while contributing to safer, more professional transport services.
Whilst no two days will be the same, you can expect to:
- Manage learner enrolments and support apprentices through a smooth onboarding process
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive induction sessions (primarily face-to-face with some online delivery)
- Tailor induction content using initial assessment results to meet individual learner needs
- Provide on-bus mentoring and coaching, supporting drivers in real-world scenarios
- Help learners develop safe driving practices, strong professional behaviours, and excellent customer service skills
- Liaise with employers to confirm learner readiness, attendance, and organisational compliance
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks related to enrolment, mentoring, and coaching
- Monitor learner progress and highlight any additional support needs to the wider training team
- Keep quality at the centre of everything you do
- Build positive, supportive relationships with learners and employers
- Stay up to date with sector developments, training techniques, and assessment requirements
Where will I be based?
This is a hybrid role, with some of your time based at a depot, and the remainder working from home. This will be discussed with you further in your interview.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong knowledge of bus driving standards, safety, and customer service excellence
- Is passionate about supporting learners at the start of their careers
- Provides high-quality, personalised mentoring and guidance
- Is highly organised and able to manage a varied workload, particularly during busy enrolment periods
- Is confident coaching learners both on the bus and in workplace settings
- Communicates clearly and builds strong professional relationships
- Holds relevant industry qualifications
- Has a full UK driving licence and access to their own transport

- Teaching or assessing qualification
