The Role
At Realise, we're passionate about empowering the next generation of bus drivers, and we're seeking experienced individuals like you to join our team as a Classroom Trainer. If you have a love for the industry, bus driver training experience, and a desire to make a real difference, we want to hear from you! As a Classroom Trainer on our Route to Success team, you'll play a vital role in shaping the careers of aspiring bus drivers. You'll share your expert knowledge, deliver engaging training sessions, and inspire a passion for safe and exceptional driving. No prior training qualifications are necessary – just a genuine enthusiasm for the industry and a willingness to learn and grow alongside our team.

Our Classroom Trainers work a standard Monday-Friday schedule (9 am-5 pm), with occasional earlier starts. This means you'll have your nights and weekends free to spend with family, pursue hobbies, or simply relax and recharge.
Your key responsibilities are likely to be:
- Having an excellent understanding of what it takes to be an outstanding driver
- Using your experience to deliver top quality learning experiences
- Managing an effective caseload of learners and enabling them to achieve all aspects of their qualification
- Putting quality at the forefront of everything you do – for your learners, employers and team
- Utilising a range of teaching methods to suit individual learner preferences
- Leading group training sessions, remotely and face-to-face
Where will I be based?
You are likely to spend the majority of your time in our Cleckheaton depot, but there may be occasions when you travel to other depots in West Yorkshire.

About You:
- Significant bus driving experience
- Valid CPC and PCV licence
- Experience delivering training/mentoring is essential, such as practical bus driver training, classroom training, CPC Training, route learning, vehicle familiarisation
- Level 2 qualification in English & Mathematics (desirable, not essential)
- ICT literate
- Assessment qualification (TAQA Level 3/A1/D32/33) (desirable but not essential, we will put you through this qualification)
- A teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS) (desirable but not essential, we will put you through this qualification)
- Preparation of curriculums and teaching materials (desirable)

You can expect a two-stage interview process for this position, which will comprise of a one-hour formal interview, likely on Teams, where we will ask you a series of competency and behavioural questions, followed by a short micro-teach.
