We are looking to engage with Freelance Employability Tutors, provisionally for 3-6 months, to hold cohorts in either West Yorkshire, Manchester, Lancashire or Liverpool. Please note: We are currently only recruiting for qualified trainers. If you do not have the required qualifications, we will be unable to take you further at this stage. You must have all required certificates and CPD up to date.
As an Adult Skills Employability Tutor at Realise, you will play a key role in supporting adults to develop the confidence, knowledge and practical skills needed to progress into employment. You will deliver engaging, high-quality training programmes designed to enhance employability, covering areas such as job search techniques, CV writing, interview preparation and workplace expectations. Through your guidance and support, learners will gain the tools they need to secure sustainable employment and take their next steps with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise, plan, deliver, and evaluate teaching, learning, and assessment at a range of levels, as well as the timely completion of related admin using our e-portfolio systems.
- Ensure the successful completion, achievement and progression of all learners on your caseload in a timely manner.
- Constantly identify progression opportunities for learners.
- Build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships with all clients.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, performance, and assessment results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve training programmes.
- Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
NB. Our cohorts are typically delivered on consecutive working days, ranging between 7-15 days, followed by one day of marking/administration.
Where will I be based?
This is a hub-based role, with your time split between our permanent hubs or nearby sites. You may occasionally work from home for up to one day a week. This will be discussed with you further in your interview.
What Happens Next?
The Realise Recruitment team will be in touch, regardless of the outcome. Our interview process is tailored to each role and can be in-person or held remotely. You can expect a two-stage interview process for this position, which will comprise of a short telephone screen call, followed by a one-hour formal interview, either in person or on Teams, where we will ask you a series of competency and behavioural questions, followed by a short micro-teach. About You
- Experience of delivering employability (or similar) courses.
- Experience and confidence in virtual/online delivery.
- Have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C for Maths and English or equivalent.
- Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS) and assessing qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32, D33).
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation.
