At the Royal School for the Blind (RSB) you will find an enthusiastic and supportive team who provide an all-inclusive package for every child and young person within our care. Our team work approach allows for quick and reliable communication across school. We have a total communication approach where staff listen and respond to children facilitating their expression to enable a safe and happy environment.

Main duties:

  • Maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
  • Answering phone calls
  • Provide general office support to teachers and business managers
  • Organising meetings
  • Meeting and greeting visitors/parents
  • Using school online systems
  • Operate office equipment
  • Undertake training required to develop this role
  • Contribute to the safety and wellbeing of our children and young adults

Training to be Provided:

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard, which includes: Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, Business Administrator L3 Apprenticeship Standard, Functional skills in Maths and English if required. This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Apprenticeship Duration: 15 Months
