Rothley Park Kindergarten is excited to offer an opportunity for an Apprentice to join their dedicated team. This role involves supporting the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote all areas of child development, with a strong focus on physical well-being and emotional care. You will help create a welcoming and safe environment where children feel secure and supported.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with children with special needs to ensure full integration
- Supporting colleagues
- Liaising with parents and families
- Participating in all nursery events such as staff meetings, parents’ evenings, and seasonal celebrations
- Assisting with domestic tasks like cleaning equipment
- Upholding the nursery’s philosophy
- Reporting health and safety concerns
- Maintaining accurate records of accidents and attendance
- Preparing and completing developmentally appropriate activities
- Ensuring mealtimes are positive social experiences
- Providing comfort to children when needed

Training to be Provided: Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
