We’re looking for a hands-on and enthusiastic Plumbing Trainer to join our expert team at our purpose-built Ashbourne & Nottingham training centres.
Whether you’re an experienced trainer or a skilled plumber looking to step away from the tools and into education, this role offers the opportunity to pass on your knowledge and help shape the future workforce.
- What you’ll be doing
- Delivering engaging, high-quality training to plumbing apprentices
- Planning and delivering structured lessons aligned with qualification standards
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to help learners reach their full potential
- Supporting learners through practical workshop sessions and classroom learning
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and attendance
- Working collaboratively with employers and internal teams to support learner success
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and best practice within plumbing, heating, and gas
- What we’re looking for
- Level 3 NVQ qualification in Plumbing ( essential )
- Strong industry experience in plumbing
- A passion for supporting and developing the next generation of tradespeople
- Confident communication skills and the ability to engage learners effectively
- A patient, supportive, and learner-focused approach
- Teaching and/or assessing qualifications (AET, DET, PGCE, TAQA or equivalent) – training can be provided (desirable)
Salary and benefits
- Salary up to £42,000 plus bonus (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- 37.5 hours per week (typically Monday to Friday)
- 25 days’ holiday plus public and bank holidays, Birthday and Christmas Eve leave
