Little School House Nursery Delivers outstanding early years education, situated in the beautiful grounds of St Vincent's School in West Derby.

As a level 2 practitioner apprentice you will be expected to:

  • To work alongside a professionally qualified team
  • To promote child development
  • To support with personal care of the children
  • To engage in play and activities
  • To assist in lunch and snacks
  • To be aware of all aspects of safeguarding

Qualifications required

  • GCSE grade 4 and below in Maths and English is desired but not essential.
  • Kind

  • Reliable
  • Well presented

Skills required

  • To have a genuine passion for child development
  • To be conscientious
  • To be able to take instructions
  • To effectively use initiative

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
