Account Director

Account Director

Full-Time On-site
Realise Talent Ltd

Location: Shoreditch, London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

The Company

A lean, senior-led independent creative agency doing genuinely ambitious work for brands that want to make their mark.

Twelve people. No layers. No handoffs. The team that pitches is the team that delivers - which means clients get senior thinking from day one and all the way through. It's a model that's won them work alongside, and against, some of the most respected names in the industry.

They're brand agnostic by design - taking insight and creative thinking across categories rather than staying in a lane - and they work as a genuine extension of their clients' teams, not a supplier at arm's length.

The culture is one people talk about. Strong work-life balance, an efficient way of working and a team that gets a lot of great work out without burning people out in the process.

For the right person, the opportunity to grow here - both the accounts and their own career - is very real and completely uncapped.

The Role

This is an Account Director role for someone who wants to own and grow a portfolio of clients - not just manage and deliver it.

You'll sit at the centre of the agency, connecting clients and the creative team, shaping direction and ensuring the work is smart, well-crafted and effective. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll be hands-on across everything from briefs and strategy through to campaign delivery and client relationships.

But the thing that will make the difference here is growth mindset. The agency's current portfolio has real potential and they need someone who sees that, wants to build on it and knows how to make it happen - building relationships, deepening client knowledge, spotting opportunities and going after them. If your instinct is to deliver what's asked and wait for the next brief, this probably isn't the role for you.

This is for someone who wants to build something. Someone who is hungry, entrepreneurial and ready to take ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day client relationships across a portfolio of retained and project accounts
  • Drive organic growth - deepening client relationships, identifying opportunities and turning good work into long-term partnerships
  • Shape campaign and brand direction with a clear point of view, not just process management
  • See projects through from brief to delivery, ensuring the work lands to a high standard
  • Lead key client moments - presentations, working sessions, campaign launches
  • Push for quality across ideas, detail and execution - and don't let things slip
  • Stay on top of budgets, scope and commercial health across accounts
  • Work closely with strategy, creative and production to get strong ideas made properly
  • Use data, insight and emerging tools (including AI) practically to improve the work
  • Support and guide the wider team without over-directing

Who Are You

  • Significant experience in a creative agency environment at Account Director level, with a track record of managing and growing client accounts
  • A genuine growth mindset - you know how to build a client relationship, not just maintain one
  • Commercially sharp - comfortable managing budgets, identifying growth opportunities and having honest conversations about scope and value
  • A natural relationship builder with the gravitas and emotional intelligence to work confidently with founders and senior stakeholders
  • Strong across the full creative process - able to contribute to strategic and creative thinking, not just manage around it
  • Highly organised and able to hold multiple projects together simultaneously without losing quality
  • A clear, confident communicator - in writing, in a room and in the moments that matter
  • Someone who wants to make things happen, not wait to be told what to do
  • Experience in FMCG or packaging is a bonus, not a requirement

Why Join?

  • Real autonomy and ownership of a client portfolio with genuine growth potential
  • A senior-led, efficient agency where great work gets made without the politics or the late nights
  • No cap on personal career growth - grow the accounts and grow with them
  • Varied, interesting briefs across design, brand, campaign, social, paid media and beyond
  • A small, talented team where your contribution is visible and valued
  • Strong benefits including individual training budgets, 20 days work from anywhere, birthday leave and a two-week end-of-year break
