We are looking for an experienced Internal Sales Representative / Sales Coordinator for our client in Uddingston. We are open to candidates with different types of B2B experience, however people with experience in areas such as engineering, construction or manufacturing would also be of high interest.
The role requires a very organised person who is able to negotiate whilst also building rapport and always prioritising customer needs and going above and beyond to deliver the required service levels.
Working as part of the office based / internal sales department and also in conjunction with your external sales colleagues, you would be responsible for:
- Processing customer orders accurately and upselling when possible
- Creating and following up on potential new leads
- Finding and suggesting suitable products that meet customers’ requirements from the vast range of stock that is available
- Arranging competitive quotations and presenting them to convert and secure orders.
Key requirements needed for the position are:
- Professional telephone and email communication skills
- Excellent numeracy skills for accurate and speedy calculations
- Ability to work efficiently and precisely in a fast-paced environment
- Be self-motivated and able to manage and prioritise workloads
- Ability to build rapport and create key relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers
- Be confident in proactive calling of new accounts and potential leads
- A keen interest in learning new products and keeping up to date with market/trade trends and changes.
Office based in Uddingston, the working hours are daytime business hours Monday to Friday and the salary for the role is up to £32,000 depending on current level of skills and experience. It is primarily a salary-based position however there is also the potential to earn a little more on top of your basic with the various incentives the company has in place for their sales department.
