This is a big role with even bigger potential. We’re looking for a senior clinical leader who’s ready to shape the future of nursing and in-home patient services across the UK. You'll be joining a big healthcare brand that’s thriving, evolving and ambitious, where your leadership will directly influence its people and the experience of every patient it serves.

This business works closely with the NHS and pharmaceutical partners to make treatment more accessible, personal, and safe. Every day, its teams deliver high-quality care to thousands of patients across the UK, supporting people with complex conditions through treatment plans that fit into real lives. This role sits at the very heart of that mission, driving quality, innovation and playing a key role in shaping the next chapter of its story.

What you’ll be stepping into:

  • A fast-moving clinical operation supporting over 100,000 patients each year.
  • Big development projects including a new national training centre for specialist nurses.
  • A business that operates at pace but values structure, delivery, and a strong operational grip.

What you’ll be responsible for:

This is a big role with broad scope, covering clinical leadership, operational delivery, and strategic influence. You’ll be the professional lead for nursing and clinical services across the organisation, and a key part of our senior leadership team.

  • Leadership & People Development: You’ll have six direct reports and lead a full team of around 500 FTEs. You’ll be responsible for setting standards, fostering a culture of care and accountability, and building high-performing, values-driven teams.
  • Executive Strategy: Act as a key contributor to executive strategy, using your expertise in healthcare operations to advise on national direction, patient services, and transformation initiatives. This includes owning and reporting on quality and efficiency metrics at board level.
  • Clinical Quality & Governance: Acting as Safeguarding Lead, you’ll ensure we meet all regulatory requirements across the UK, from CQC to MHRA. You’ll oversee clinical risk management, patient safety, and drive down incidents and complaints through smart, sustainable action.
  • Operational Performance: You’ll develop clear operational strategies and deliver through KPIs, budgets, and high-impact plans. You’ll constantly challenge what ‘good’ looks like—driving efficiency, patient outcomes, and service excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: From NHS leaders and pharma clients to regulators, patients, and professional bodies—you’ll be a key voice externally, and a trusted advisor internally. You’ll bring insight, calm decision-making, and a grounded approach to board-level discussions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Registered Nurse with post registration qualification to at least degree level.
  • A track record of delivering strategic change and operational excellence in complex clinical/healthcare/homecare settings, especially aligned to commercial environments.
  • Comfort with complexity—leading through ambiguity, managing large teams and making smart, balanced decisions.
  • Exceptional people skills—capable of influencing execs, managing team dynamics, and setting a tone that’s clear, calm, and constructive.
  • Commercially astute; with the ability to translate strategy into operational working plans.
  • Ability to identify, assess, balance and proactively manage risks arising from any conflicts between commercial pressures and regulatory requirements.

Don’t meet every single requirement? At Realise, we are dedicated to helping our clients build diverse, inclusive and authentic workplaces, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement, we would encourage you to apply anyway! You might be just the candidate we’re looking for!
