We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Teacher of Design Technology & Food Technology to join a successful and supportive secondary school in Redbridge from September 2026 on a 1-year fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Food Technology up to GCSE level
  • Teach across the wider Design Technology curriculum
  • Demonstrate flexibility across the DT curriculum

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be confident teaching Food Technology up to GCSE
  • Ability to teach across DT and Food Technology
  • Ideally trained in the UK, or alternatively have at least two years' teaching experience within UK schools
  • Ideally not be an Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Job Role

  • 1 year fixed term contract
  • 0.8 FTE (could be full time if candidate were willing to teach a second subject)
