Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?
We are working with a well-established specialist SEN school in Stratford, East London, seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team from September.
This position will initially be offered on a long-term temporary basis through our agency, with the opportunity to transfer onto a permanent contract with the school following a successful placement.
This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a therapeutic education setting, supporting pupils across Key Stages 2β4 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role
- Teach Food Technology across KS2βKS4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and essential life skills.
- Create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.
- Work collaboratively with therapists, teaching assistants and the wider school team to deliver a holistic approach to education.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Food Technology at primary and/or secondary level.
- Has experience working with, or a genuine interest in supporting, pupils with SEND, particularly those with ASC and SEMH needs.
- Is patient, adaptable and passionate about inclusive education.
- Is available to start in September.
