Realisation Par is looking for an experienced and highly technical Product Developer to bridge the gap between design and production.
Working closely with the Design team, you will transform creative concepts into commercially viable garments through technical expertise, precision, and an exceptional understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, and manufacturing.
This role requires a high level of construction knowledge, as well as attention to detail, ensuring all products reflect the aesthetic of the brand and quality of finish.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
- Translate approved designs into detailed technical packs and production-ready specifications.
- Create accurate technical diagrams/CADs and annotation for all the garments to support sample development.
- Provide measurements, grading, and construction details to the factory to support their technical teams with amendments.
- Follow the critical path as directed and managed by the Head of Product, ensuring all milestones are achieved and proactively addressing risks to keep development on schedule.
- Manage the end-to-end product development process, working closely with suppliers and manufacturers from initial prototype through to pre-production.
- Coordinate sampling, track sample progress, and ensure timely approvals across all development stages.
- Research and source appropriate fabrics, trims, finishes, washes, and construction techniques that align with the design vision, quality standards, and target cost.
- Collaborate with the senior designer during development fittings to ensure correct execution, identify fit and construction issues, and provide clear, detailed technical comments to suppliers.
- Refine garment fit, construction, and finishing to ensure new products meet Realisation Par’s quality and aesthetic standards.
- Assist the Production Manager in refitting existing styles to perfect our ongoing range.
- Troubleshoot technical and production challenges while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
- You will manage, along with the Senior Designer, the workload of the Design and Development Coordinator to ensure they are supporting the team in the best way possible
- Monitor product costs throughout development and identify opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
- Operational Duties
- You will implement new processes to create more effective workflow and communication across teams and departments; including but not limited to, handover documents, project and task management programs, creating and managing critical path.
- You will maintain regular catch ups with team in LA to discuss current projects, new collaborations or category developments.
- Any other duties reasonably requested by management to achieve the role output requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in fashion or related field.
- 8+ years experience working in womenswear, with a focus on bias cut silk being an advantage, but with knowledge of cross product categories.
- Experience in pattern cutting or garment tech roles would be an advantage.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and pattern, with high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure with strong project and time management skills
- Confident communicating across different levels and functions within the business
- Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team
- Confident working with Adobe Illustrator
