An established engineering company are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role takes full technical responsibility for the top‑level design, integration and validation of vehicle electro‑optical systems. It defines electronic architecture, subsystem requirements, power and signal integration, video and data management and compliance with environmental and EMC standards. It supports system testing at bench, rig, vehicle and field level while contributing to safety cases, qualification activities and lifecycle reviews. The position requires electronic engineering experience, structured systems thinking and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while working independently on complex technical challenges.
Essential Requirements
- Lead design, integration and validation of vehicle electro‑optical electronic systems
- Define system architecture, power distribution, interfaces and video and data solutions
- Manage power integrity, EMC performance, grounding and robust electrical design
- Support testing including bench rig vehicle EMC and environmental qualification
- Electronics experience with clear communication and a structured engineering approach
The start date is ASAP. The initial contract length is for 6 months. The role is based in North Wales and will require 4-5 days onsite per week. Rate flexible depending on your experience, £45 to £60 per hour.
