A global medical device company is seeking a Senior Mechanical R&D Engineer to support the development and improvement of complex medical devices. You'll work with a multidisciplinary engineering team across the full product lifecycle, from early concept and mechanical design through to prototyping, testing, verification, validation and commercial launch. The role will also include failure investigation, sustaining engineering, design improvements and the creation of compliant design and risk-management documentation. Essential Skills Medical device mechanical design experience New product development from concept through to verification and validation SolidWorks, 3D CAD, engineering drawings and GD&T Design controls, risk management and technical documentation Prototyping, mechanical testing and failure analysis Desirable Skills Experience designing implantable, external, handheld, wearable or surgical medical devices Knowledge of IEC 60601, IEC 61000, ISO 14708 or comparable medical device standards This is a strong fit for hands-on Mechanical R&D Engineers who want to remain close to product design, prototype development, testing, failure investigation and commercial product delivery.
