Overview: The Senior Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Manager will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and assurance of the Trust's emergency preparedness and business continuity arrangements. The role ensures compliance with statutory obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and alignment with the NHS EPRR Framework, maintaining a strong and effective approach to incident preparedness, response, and recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Work in close collaboration with Hospital Leadership Teams, oversee the design, review, and testing of emergency plans, business continuity frameworks, and incident response procedures.
- Lead on coordinating training programmes and simulation exercises, provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders, and support the Trust's on-call and incident management arrangements during major incidents.
- Engage in close partnership across the wider health and resilience system, including with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), NHS England, and local multi-agency resilience forums; ensure alignment with national standards and best practice to contribute to a coordinated system-wide EPRR response.
Qualifications: Experience leading development, delivery and assurance of emergency preparedness and business continuity arrangements. Knowledge of statutory duties and national requirements under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the NHS EPRR Framework; ability to ensure robust incident preparedness, response and recovery.
