Designated Nurse Safeguarding Adults
London Based ICB | 4 Days Per Week | Predominantly Remote | Contract Until March 2027
The Role
- Provide expert safeguarding leadership and advice across the ICB and wider system
- Support the development and implementation of safeguarding strategies and policies
- Work collaboratively with local authorities, providers, NHS partners, and other key stakeholders
- Provide professional oversight and assurance relating to safeguarding adults activity
- Contribute to safeguarding quality improvement initiatives and system learning
- Support statutory safeguarding requirements and governance processes
Essential Experience
- Previous experience as a Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Adults
- Extensive safeguarding adults experience within NHS or commissioning environments
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and associated safeguarding legislation
- Experience providing strategic leadership at system level
- Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across multiple organisations
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working within an ICB, CCG, NHS England, or similar commissioning organisation
- Experience supporting safeguarding assurance frameworks and governance processes
- Knowledge of wider health and social care commissioning arrangements
