A global medical device company in Ireland are looking for an R&D Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The purpose of the role will be design & development of their medical devices in order to take their products to market.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototyping, test design, reviews, evaluations, V&V and protocols
  • Preparation & presentation of designs
  • Risk analysis & management
  • Process development engineering
  • Introduce new equipment, materials & technologies

Requirements:

  • Mechanical engineering, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Experience working as an R&D Engineer on medical device products
  • Minimum 1-5 years experience
  • Understanding regulatory requirements
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

The start date is for ASAP/June. The initial contract length is for 12 months, with multiple extension options after. The role is based in Limerick and will require at least 1-3 days onsite per week. The rate is between €40 - €45 per hour depending on experience.
