We have a current opportunity for a Foundry AI Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Egham. This is a remote contract for approximately three months. The role is outside IR35, with a start date planned for early to mid‑March.
Overview
The university is delivering a series of AI initiatives and requires an AI Engineer with hands‑on experience in AI Foundry to support the design, build, and deployment of AI use cases across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into AI use cases.
- Build, deploy, and optimise AI models within AI Foundry.
- Develop pipelines, workflows, and integrations needed to operationalise AI solutions.
- Work closely with data teams, product teams, and technical leads to ensure successful delivery.
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure models perform effectively in a production environment.
- Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and support the internal team throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role.
- Hands‑on experience working with AI Foundry.
- Strong understanding of machine learning, model development, and deployment workflows.
- Experience with data pipelines, ML Ops, or cloud‑based AI tooling.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced project environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical teams.
