Designated Nurse Safeguarding Adults London Based ICB | 4 Days Per Week | Predominantly Remote | Contract Until March 2027

The Role

  • Provide expert safeguarding leadership and advice across the ICB and wider system
  • Support the development and implementation of safeguarding strategies and policies
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, providers, NHS partners, and other key stakeholders
  • Provide professional oversight and assurance relating to safeguarding adults activity
  • Contribute to safeguarding quality improvement initiatives and system learning
  • Support statutory safeguarding requirements and governance processes

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience as a Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Adults
  • Extensive safeguarding adults experience within NHS or commissioning environments
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and associated safeguarding legislation
  • Experience providing strategic leadership at system level
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across multiple organisations
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working within an ICB, CCG, NHS England, or similar commissioning organisation
  • Experience supporting safeguarding assurance frameworks and governance processes
  • Knowledge of wider health and social care commissioning arrangements
