Nutanix Engineer
£550 to £600 per month (Outside IR35)/6 month rolling contract/Worthing, but hybrid working
My client a leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced Nutanix Engineer to be responsible for building a new Nutanix platform, including capacity management and applications management.
The Nutanix Engineer will be responsible the enhancing and updating the Nutanix infrastructure and provide best practice guidance and produce low level design documentation and key operations procedures.
Additionally, the Nutanix Engineer will provide subject matter expert advice and support to operations teams and will come with strong experience of migrations from VMware to Nutanix.
Your key responsibilities as the Nutanix Engineer:
- Have a broad understanding of all Nutanix Hyperconverged solutions.
- Interpret business requirements and produce technical solution documentation.
- Champion Nutanix technologies.
- Interact with other teams and departments on Nutanix solutions.
- Ensure quality and reliability of the delivered solutions and adherence to best practices and standards.
- Constantly collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams supporting them to maintain and operate the environment.
- Ensuring adherence to the SDLC processes and other company prescribed engineering and release management practices.
- Apply AGILE methodologies to engineering deliverables.
- Maintain/create documentation for Citrix services and tools.
Required skills for the Nutanix Engineer:
- Design, engineer and maintain AHV, Files and Prism deployments.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within Nutanix HCI and related virtualization infrastructure.
- Citrix Daas.
- Hybrid cloud platforms.
- Ideally you will have strong technical, delivery and implementation skills and experience.
Nice to have skills:
- Knowledge of REST, JSON, XM and PowerShell.
- Experience of Hybrid Cloud platforms.
- Familiar with network protocols, and Firewalls.
- Strong communication skills.
