Job Description Herdsperson – Gloucestershire We seek a Herdsperson to join our dairy team in Gloucestershire! Our Farm We are a small family dairy farm covering 275 acres, with our herd consisting of 100 Friesian Holstein cows. The herd is milked through two DeLaval robotic milking units and are calved all year round. Our cows are currently housed all year round and fed a TMR-based diet, although we are considering grazing next year. All our records and data are recorded on Uniform Agri and Delpro. We have recently invested in a bolus monitoring system to help with heat detection and herd health. Our milk is supplied to Cotteswold Dairy, one of the largest independent family-run dairies in the UK. We also farm some Wheat, Maize and grass for the farm’s forage use, with a total head of 220 cattle on the farm. Your role As a Herdsperson, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the dairy operation.
