Linux Administrator / Linux Engineer A London-based Higher Education institution is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator / Linux Engineer to join a critical project focused on improving the management and security of its Linux estate.
Working alongside an established project team, you will play a key role in securing and onboarding Linux devices into a managed endpoint security service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Linux professional with strong security awareness and experience managing enterprise Linux environments.
The role will cover
Deploying and configuring Microsoft Defender for Endpoint across Linux devices.
Onboarding and managing Linux endpoints within Microsoft Intune.
Supporting the implementation of a managed endpoint security service.
Implementing Linux security controls, compliance standards and best practices.
Troubleshooting and resolving Linux endpoint and security-related issues.
Producing technical documentation, deployment guides and operational procedures.
Working closely with project stakeholders to ensure all Linux devices are successfully protected and onboarded within project timelines.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Strong Linux endpoint management experience Hands-on experience deploying Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) Experience onboarding Linux devices into Microsoft Intune Linux security and endpoint protection expertise Ability to create technical documentation and deployment processes Contract Details
