Job Description

Audit & CASS Assurance Manager\\n\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit & CASS Assurance Manager with At least 2 year’s post qualified audit experience from a UK Accountancy Firm to assist our Watford team in helping to grow the firm.\\n\\nEmployment Details\\n\\nFull time role – Monday to Friday (Hybrid) 3 days office / 2 days home.\\n\\nRemuneration will be dependent on experience.\\n\\nRight to work in the UK required.\\n\\nThe package will include:\\n\\n * Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week’s salary.\\n\\n * Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme all staff are auto enrolled. (Employer: 5%; Employee: 3%) subject to eligibility.\\n\\n * Private Medical Insurance following completion of 3 months service (this is a taxable benefit).\\n\\n * Death in Service scheme cover (4x salary).\\n\\n * Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) following completion of 3 months service.\\n\\n * Annual Leave will be 25 days per annum (pro rata). 3 days are normally taken at Christmas/New Year.\\n\\nResponsibilities:\\n\\n * Managing a full portfolio of regulated financial service firms and other statutory audit clients.\\n\\n * Booking appropriate staff to complete each engagement.\\n\\n * Reviewing files and highlighting key issues to the audit RI.\\n\\n * Liaising with clients in an appropriate manner and style.\\n\\n * Setting budgets and negotiating fees with clients.\\n\\n * Raising invoices in accordance with agreed billing profile.\\n\\n * Tracking delivery against budgets / identifying any cause of overruns.\\n\\n * Involvement with appraisals/reviews and identifying training as required.\\n\\n * Engaging in business development / networking events.\\n\\n * Beginning to demonstrate the ability to introduce new clients to Hillier Hopkins through personal contacts, or networking, or existing client introductions.\\n\\nThe ideal candidate will have the following:\\n\\n * FCA Client Asset (CASS) Direct Investment Firm specialist experience and knowledge\\n\\n * FCA Statutory Audit experience and knowledge\\n\\n * ACA or ACCA qualified.\\n\\n * At least 2 year’s post qualified audit experience from a UK Accountancy Firm.\\n\\n * Technically strong in UK GAAP and IFRS.\\n\\n * IT competent and be familiar with computerised packages (ideally Caseware).\\n\\n * Excellent communication skills.\\n\\n * Ability to prioritise, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and multi-task effectively.\\n\\n * Strong ability to identify key risk areas at planning and completion.\\n\\n * Able to work on own initiative and be flexible, also being a team player and effective delegator of tasks whilst continuing to accept responsibility for delegated activities.\\n\\n * Demonstrating a positive attitude and acting as a role model
