Role Overview
We’re looking for a self‑motivated, results‑driven Business Development Manager to join our team. You will focus on generating new business in key growth regions along the East Coast of England. This is a remote role with flexibility, but frequent travel across your territory will be necessary to build relationships and close deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand the client base across Norfolk, Peterborough, Cambridge and surrounding East Coast areas.
- Identify, prospect and qualify new business opportunities with commercial clients (offices, manufacturing, education, hospitality, etc.).
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with decision makers and stakeholders.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals and service solutions tailored to client needs.
- Manage the full business development cycle — from lead generation, meetings and proposals to negotiation and contract closure.
- Track and report on sales pipeline, opportunities and revenue forecasts using CRM.
- Represent the company at regional networking events, industry gatherings and customer meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, delivery, estimating) to ensure proposals are accurate and deliverable.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role — ideally within commercial cleaning, facilities services, or B2B services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to convert prospects into long‑term contracts.
- Self‑motivated, disciplined and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Practical understanding of CRM systems and pipeline reporting.
- Must be willing to travel regularly across the East Coast territory.
