Trainee Machine Setter / Operator
Location: Redditch
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-3:00pm

Real Personnel are currently recruiting for a Trainee Machine Setter / Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Redditch.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an engineering qualification and a hands-on, mechanical background who is looking to develop their skills in a specialist manufacturing environment.
No previous cold heading experience is required, as full training will be provided over a 12-18 month period.
Duties Include:
- Learning to set and operate specialist manufacturing machinery.
- Assisting with machine tooling, adjustments and maintenance.
- Carrying out quality inspections on finished products.
- Identifying and resolving basic mechanical issues.
- Working alongside experienced setters to develop technical skills.
- Gradually taking responsibility for multiple machines.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or 3 Engineering qualification (apprenticeship preferred).
- Good mechanical knowledge and practical hands-on skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Reliable, motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
