Support Worker
Sheffield Day Centre • Part Time Role Available (18–24 hours) • £12.71 per hour • Full UK Manual Licence Required • Driving a 15‑seater minibus – no additional licence needed
About the Role
As a Driver Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities who attend our Day Centre. Your day‑to‑day role will include:
- Safely collecting and returning individuals between home and the Day Centre
- Supporting people to participate in a range of community and centre‑based activities
- Encouraging and enabling people to engage in meaningful experiences
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Keeping accurate vehicle and service‑user records
- Carrying out routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance
- Working flexibly as part of a friendly, supportive team

Driving Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a current, valid UK manual driving licence

- Feel confident driving a 15‑seater minibus
- Be able to maintain accurate transport and user records
(You do not need a D1 or PSV licence.)
Shift Details
You’ll work during our core operating hours:
- Typical shifts: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
- We have 18 to 24 hours available; you would be working 3 or four days per week.
- Flexibility is required to cover shifts across the week, not set days.
- Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for special events.
