About the Role

We are seeking an experienced People Development Partner to act as the local expert for learning delivery, capability building and professional development, supporting Real Life Options’ ambition to create a high‑performing, values‑led workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and facilitate learning activities, workshops and programmes aligned to organisational priorities and local workforce needs.
  • Provide accessible, regionally tailored learning support to colleagues and managers, ensuring development solutions are practical and impactful.
  • Support regulatory and compliance training, including SSSC and SVQ requirements in Scotland.
  • Partner with managers to identify learning priorities within their teams and design responsive interventions.
  • Support the embedding of career pathways and competency frameworks across Real Life Options.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and resources to managers to enable effective team and individual development planning.
  • Support leadership and management development initiatives at local and regional levels.
  • Promote professional qualifications and apprenticeship pathways, ensuring take‑up and completion are supported.
  • Evaluate the impact of learning interventions using feedback, data and performance outcomes.
  • Contribute insights to the People Development Manager on emerging skill needs and workforce trends.
  • Maintain accurate training records and data, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Build effective relationships with local managers, regional leaders and external learning providers.
  • Act as an ambassador for learning and development across the region, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the design, testing and rollout of group‑wide learning frameworks, programmes and systems.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Significant experience in learning and development or people development within a complex, multi‑site organisation.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience in delivering and evaluating learning programmes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and relationship‑building skills.
  • Confident in using learning management systems and digital learning tools.
  • Well‑organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
