We are looking to add to our alchemic mix of more than 2,000 talented professionals. Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Medical Editor to join our growing team! The Senior Medical Editor plays a pivotal role in Real Chemistry’s Global Med Comms team by enhancing the clarity, accuracy, and impact of our medical communications. By meticulously reviewing, editing, and verifying a wide array of medical content, they ensure our content resonates accurately and effectively across various media platforms. This role is instrumental in upholding our commitment to the highest standards.
What you’ll do:
- Edit and proofread medical content across the full spectrum of medical and commercial communications, ensuring clarity, flow, and alignment with client style.
- Styling and retemplating slide decks/documents.
- Simple figure redraws.
- Liaising with Designers / Creative team to check content pre vs post layout/formatting.
- Publication submissions to congresses/journals.
- Advising on copyright status/requirements and facilitating quotes and purchasing.
- Build a working understanding of medical terminology and principles to enhance content quality.
- Perform non-complex data checks as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Medical, Client Services, Design and Project Management to maintain content quality and relevance, and to deliver against agreed timelines.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry best practices for editing and advocate them within your work.
- Develop and maintain client style guides.
- Work across multiple brands/products, adhering to client preferences for all.
- Work with other team leads to evaluate and evolve editorial processes and the editorial team to best support quality assurance goals.

- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- A keen interest to apply AI best practices to enhance editing capabilities.
- The ability to manage time effectively, work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Keen interest in continuous learning about medical advancements and guidelines.
- Experience in a team environment, showcasing strong organizational and communication skills.
- Significant experience as a medical editor in a medical communications agency is preferred.
