Over the last 5+ years, 21GRAMS, part of Real Chemistry, has been on a mission, bringing a more soulful, meaningful and fundamentally more human approach to healthcare brands. As part of that, we’re looking for a Medical Writer with solid experience and a passion for great work to join our growing London team, helping lead client strategy engagements and oversee project and drive new business opportunities.

What you’ll do:
- Write clear and concise commercially minded documents, adapting style for different audiences such as healthcare professionals and patients, while adhering to the ABPI code of conduct and quality control processes.
- Collaborate closely with the strategy, creative and account teams.
- Utilize a variety of credible resources to understand the science and strategy behind assigned projects, ensuring awareness of brand objectives and competitive landscapes.
- Contribute to proposal development, pitch activities, and brainstorming sessions, while communicating therapy area knowledge effectively.
- Manage and take ownership of projects, ensuring timelines and deadlines are met, and proactively addressing potential barriers to project completion with solutions.
- Engage confidently with clients, responding promptly to requests and participating in the briefing process to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements.
- Participate in the review process, executing editorial deliverables while adhering to project schedules, budgets, and briefs.
- Immerse in the advertising, medical communications and pharma industry, staying informed about innovations, trends, and developments to integrate into project work creatively.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of practice and industry guidelines, ensuring consistent communication and status updates with the account team.

What you should have:
- Relevant degree (minimum Master’s, advanced degree preferred e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) in a science subject required.
- Experience in medical writing, ideally in an agency setting.
- Possesses a solid scientific background and able to learn new therapeutic areas quickly and demonstrate this knowledge.
- Possesses a good understanding and appreciation of the clinical trials process (phases, data representation, drug approval process and key statistical variables).
- Enthusiasm for learning and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrates a clear, concise and accurate writing style.
- Understands the typical language which should and should not be used (comparisons, unverified claims etc.).
- Understand the processes involved in new business and terminology.
- Demonstrate strong organisational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Independent thinker confident in taking ownership of assets and material development, but a team player who enjoys collaboration.
- Professional presence, performs with a sense of urgency and with a client service orientation.
- Have confidence to manage upward when required; able to communicate with managers when deadlines will not be met or when issues are foreseeable.
- High energy, able to effectively operate in fast‑paced, growing and evolving environment.
- Good management of Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) – particularly PowerPoint.
