Senior Medical Writer Our Senior Medical Writers are responsible for driving day-to-day project delivery (with support from others) within an account in order to create outstanding medical content across a variety of therapy areas. This position is ideal for an experienced writer who has a passion for scientific and medical developments, a keen interest in AI, and who enjoys tackling new problems, interacting with clients, and mentoring internal team members. Helps to lead meetings and strategic discussions with clientsAIProactively utilizes a broad range of AI solutions to streamline complex projects, with support from othersEvaluates and implements AI-driven solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with team members to optimize project deliveryProvides guidance and training to team members on best practiceProject ownership: Leads content delivery for complex projects with supervision from senior team, delegating to AMW/MWs as needed and where appropriate to ensure timely execution to a high standardSkilled in achieving communications objectives by employing a broad range of channels and formatsProject development: Interrogates briefs from clients/internal teams and proactively flags any queries or potential issuesApplies critical thinking skills towards a project brief to achieve deliverables in a timely and efficient mannerProvides a proactive, solution-focused approach towards resolving queries, and addressing feedbackInitiates discussions with Account Teams regarding potential barriers to successful project completion that may ariseEditorial: Develops compelling narratives from complex informationStructures and writes novel projects that may not have been executed previouslyQuality control: Takes responsibility for overall quality of deliverables with supervision from senior teamReviews JMWs' work for adherence to brief, client objectives and quality of writing, providing constructive feedbackOn site: Leads scientific discussion with clients and external experts as appropriate to capture briefs, resolve queries, and progress scientific content development in timely and efficient mannerGrowth and new businessSupports development of scientific content for new therapeutic areas for new businessProactively identifies new business opportunities with new and existing clientsProject management: Provides timely and accurate communication to accounts team on writer hours, and project progressTeamwork: Trains/mentors junior writers on account-specific therapy area knowledge and processesQualifications and skillsYou should bring a strong scientific background with a degree in a scientific or medical discipline (post-graduate degree preferred). A high level of academic achievement is expectedYou should bring previous experience of medical writing at an MW level or aboveA passion for, and profound understanding of, healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry is essential, as well as a keen interest in AI technologiesYou'll need to be personable, articulate, and capable of nurturing relationships.
