This is a hybrid role based out of our London office in the UK.

What You’ll Do

  • Set and lead the UK digital and social media vision, identifying opportunities to integrate cutting‑edge platforms, tools, and technologies.
  • Act as a senior agency thought leader, representing Real Chemistry with confidence in senior client engagements, industry forums, and new business pursuits.
  • Anticipate shifts in healthcare marketing, regulation, and platform behaviour, proactively positioning the team to lead in digital and social innovation.
  • Drive the development of best‑in‑class social programmes and omnichannel campaigns that deliver cohesive, compliant experiences across touchpoints.
  • Command high‑stakes meetings, clearly articulating strategy, recommendations, and innovative approaches to senior client stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, helping them navigate business challenges, regulatory constraints, and evolving audience expectations.
  • Partner closely with global and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and integrated delivery across geographies.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, learning, and innovation.
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities within existing accounts, expanding Real Chemistry’s social, digital, and integrated offerings.
  • Champion data‑driven decision‑making, leveraging analytics, insights, and performance data to optimise programmes and demonstrate impact.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, encouraging teams to stay current with platform changes, regulatory updates, and emerging best practices.

This Role Is a Great Fit If You…

  • Are energised by Real Chemistry’s values: Best Together, Impact‑Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always, and Accountability with an “I.”
  • Are comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting your scope and focus as the business evolves.
  • Are proactive, commercially minded, and excited by solving complex client challenges through insight and creativity.
  • Are a highly organised self‑starter who can balance strategic leadership with execution in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Truly “speak social,” with deep understanding of platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, and emerging channels relevant to healthcare audiences.

Who Are You?

  • Significant experience in Medical Affairs/MedComms and pharmaceutical digital marketing, with a strong working knowledge of UK/EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., ABPI Code, MHRA, GDPR).
  • A proven track record of developing and leading sophisticated digital and social media strategies, from global frameworks to local UK market execution.
  • Strong experience shaping and presenting compelling strategic narratives for new business, organic growth, and executive‑level audiences.
  • Expertise in translating research, insights, and data into social strategies that support broader omnichannel planning.
  • Deep understanding of paid and organic social performance measurement, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Experience partnering with media, performance, and analytics teams to build robust measurement and learning agendas.
  • High energy, adaptable leadership style suited to a dynamic, evolving agency environment.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and storytelling skills—comfortable leading workshops and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong people leadership experience, including managing leaders, mentoring emerging talent, and building succession plans.
  • Experience with forecasting, resourcing, and operational planning to support sustainable growth.
  • Confidence providing strategic counsel and constructively challenging senior internal stakeholders when needed.
  • A passion for shaping team and agency culture, with an emphasis on inclusion, development, and excellence.
